Description
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to obtain qualified contractors to complete restoration and site‑improvement work at the Adra Tunnel North Portal area, located on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail in Naramata. The Regional District of Okanagan‑Similkameen (RDOS) intends to enhance public safety, trail usability, and overall site conditions as part of the broader community‑supported effort to reopen the Adra Tunnel.
This RFP seeks services to resurface and improve the North Portal Parking Lot (North Lot), perform trail upgrades leading to the tunnel, and support ongoing restoration activities at the tunnel itself. The work will contribute to creating a safe, accessible, and welcoming public amenity for the wide variety of trail users—including cyclists, pedestrians, motorized users, horseback riders, and others—who rely on this section of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail and Trans Canada Trail.
