The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Simplified Acquisition Procedures under 41 USC 1901(e)(2) IAW the requirements of 10 USC ยง3204(e) to ABB Inc., a large business. This anticipated contract action will be a firm-fixed price, requirements-type, Indefinite-Delivery Contract (IDC) for Variable Frequency Starting Systems (VFSS) control upgrades with a five-year ordering period. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334513, Instruments and Related Products Manufacturing for Measuring, Displaying, and Controlling Industrial Process Variables, and the Product Service Code (PSC) code is 6110, Electrical Control Equipment. The requirement is to be delivered Free on Board (FOB) Destination to Arnold AFB, TN.
Detailed specifications for this requirement contain Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Interested vendors who wish to receive the detailed specifications must request them from the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist listed below. Requests must include company name, CAGE code, and POC information. Recipients must comply with all applicable CUI handling and safeguarding requirements.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations; however, if an interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can meet the requirement in its entirety. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to the Contracting Officer, brogan.fullmer@us.af.mil, and Contract Specialist, virginia.jones.6@us.af.mil, prior to the notice closing. No faxed documents will be accepted. If no responsive statements are received, an award will be made.
