Project Description: Mount Wolf Borough will receive sealed bids online for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work in connection with the 2nd Street Stormsewer Replacement project, in Mount Wolf Borough, York County until January 14, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at which time they shall be opened online with results publicly posted via PennBid shortly thereafter. Items of Construction to include, but are not limited to the following:
• Cross street excavation for removal of approximately 22 L.F. of 12” diameter corrugated metal pipe (3 ft. depth), and exposure of buried stormwater junction box. Proposed improvements include an estimated 22 L.F. of 10” diameter Smooth Lined High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) replacement pipe with metallic detection tape and tracer wire; the replacement of junction box lid with one (1) heavy duty storm manhole frame and cover, brought to grade with concrete risers as required; 8 tons of AASHTO No. 57 stone bedding and backfill of pipe trench; 7.5 S.Y. of 5” 3A Modified stone base; and 7.5 S.Y. of 2” cold patch asphalt. • Longitudinal street excavation for removal of approximately 157 L.F. of 21” diameter clay pipe (3 -11 ft. depth). Proposed improvements include an estimated 157 L.F. of 18” diameter Smooth Lined High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) replacement pipe with metallic detection tape and tracer wire; 82 tons of AASHTO No. 57 stone bedding; 89 tons of 2A Modified stone backfill of pipe trench; 61 S.Y. of 5” 3A Modified stone base; and 61 S.Y. of 2” cold patch asphalt.

A bid bond in the form furnished in the contract documents or a certified check naming as obligee or payee Mount Wolf Borough in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must accompany the sealed bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and a payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
Mount Wolf Borough reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to accept and to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted to waive any informalities and bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder.
No bid may be withdrawn by the bidder for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
