Overview
Summary

The Town of Davie is in need of umpires and referees for basketball, flag football, and baseball. Games will be hosted at Bamford Sports Complex, located at 3801 S. Pine Island Road, Davie, FL 33328. Typically, basketball is hosted from June - August; flag football is hosts August - October; and baseball is hosted March - May each year. Umpires and referees are required to know the rules and regulations of each sports they are assigned to. The Town of Davie follows basic high school athletic rules with minor modifications to fit our league format. League rules for each sport will be provided prior to the beginning of each season. The Town is seeking a local association or independent contractor who has the ability to supply knowledgeable and competent officials for these sports programs. The selected contractor will be required to do any specific training with their officials to ensure they can perform at the level that is required. Bidders will be submitting bids for a two (2) year contract, with one (1) two (2) year renewal period. The estimated annual budget is $70,000 and is dependent on the number of participants and league games.

Background

The Town of Davie is home to nearly 107,000 residents who live across a lush 35 square miles within central Broward. The Town's rural atmosphere, western-themed district, and sprawling educational complex foster an environment that separates Davie from all other municipalities in Broward County. Our green open spaces, numerous parks, over 165 miles of trail system, and the opportunity to live an equestrian lifestyle are amenities you can't find in today's growing South Florida.
