INTRODUCTION
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is conducting market research to define sources with the capability to fulfill the requirement of Fitness for Duty / Independent Medical Examinations.
This Sources Sought is a Request for Information (RFI). This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quote (RFQ). This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate for any cost incurred in developing information provided.
The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) whether they are large or small business (and status); (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition; and (4) if there are federal supply schedules available for competitive solicitation. The responses received will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy.
SCOPE
TSA requires that Medical and psychological examinations consistent with the TSA medical guidelines (https://www.tsa.gov/sites/default/files/hc-job-tso-medical-guidelines.pdf). Specifically, the examination shall include an assessment of the employee’s history, past medical treatment records, the employee’s current mental and physical status and provide sufficient information concerning the individual’s condition in order for the Agency to make a final determination of medical qualification or suitability for the position. Further details are defined in the Attachment 1 DRAFT Statement of Work.
RESPONSE INFORMATION
Interested vendors are required to respond by providing answers to questions using the Attachment 2 Q&A document. Answers to questions shall not exceed seven (7) pages (includes the 2-page limit in answer to Q&A # 2).
