Notice of Intent to Sole Source Femto Tools iX05

NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has a requirement for a Femto Tools iX05 Femto-Indenter Extreme and the associated software for MSFC. Please see the attached Statement of Work for requirements and specifications.

NASA/Information Technology Procurement Office (ITPO) intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the Femto Tools iX05 Femto-Indenter Extreme from Femto Tools AG. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for acquisitions using the procedures in FAR subpart 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial product or service using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Cory Rasnic at cory.t.rasnic@nasa.gov and Nicolas Zogaib at nicolas.a.zogaib@nasa.gov not later than 12:00 PM CST on February 25, 2025. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
