Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD TO A SOLE SOURCE

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, National Acquisitions Section, intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) single source award for Joint Accreditation that allows the BOP Health Service Division to offer Continuing Professional Medical Education (CPME) credits/contact hours to medically licensed providers in the BOP.

Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), “Contracting Officers may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract deems only one source reasonable available.” A sole source procurement will be issued to Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 190 S LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60603-3446. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561990. The size standard is $16.5 Million.

This announcement constitutes the only announcement for this requirement. Quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit detailed information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Bureau of Prisons’ needs.

Responses must be received by December 28, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. EST. Responses to this notice must be directed to cjwilson@bop.gov. Information received will be considered exclusively for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination not to compete is solely the Government’s discretion.
