The City of Hiram
Project Number: FY2025-03 150 OAK STREET
Proposals will be opened and read aloud on June 5, 2025, at 217 Main Street, Hiram, Georgia 30141 shortly after 10:00AM EST. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The OWNER of the project is the City of Hiram. The Engineer/Architect for the project is DONALSON ARCHITECTS, LLC.
The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows:
Prospective Bidders are required to fully execute the BID PACKAGE, which is available at the Hiram City Hall, 217 Main Street, Hiram, Georgia 30141, or ask for Clifford McGrady or call (770) 943-3726 ext. 2004.
Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. Bidding Documents will be available for purchase by prospective Bidders at the:

Bidding Documents may be obtained upon payment of $50.00, non‑refundable. The time allowed for Completion is 90 consecutive days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the OWNER in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in equal amount.
The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, for 100% of the contract amount, with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement.
Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A‑6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia.
Requests for payments are due by the Fifth (5th) of the month for the payment by the Twentieth (20th) of the month less 10% retainage. Retainage will be held until final acceptance of the project by the City of Hiram Operations Manager.
All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid opening, but OWNER may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date.
All work performed for this project will be according to the National Safety Codes, (https://dca.georgia.gov/community-assistance/construction-codes/current-state-minimum-codes-construction) and all local development regulations.
Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE addressed as follows.

Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside.
If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address previously given.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities and re‑advertise.
