24-1644 Sanitary Sewer Design Criteria Update Engineering Services

The City of Calgary (The City) is seeking engineering consulting services to update the sanitary sewer design criteria. This project will involve assessing the existing criteria and practices used in planning, design, and development of The City’s sanitary sewer assets as well as reviewing sanitary network data, comparing methods to other municipalities, providing recommendations to improve the existing design criteria, and create a new public guideline for developing Sanitary Servicing Studies (as defined in Appendix B).

The successful completion of this work will require an academic and practical approach. A team with technical expertise in municipal wastewater conveyance systems is being sought with a focus on those with experience in sanitary conveyance planning, design criteria development, condition assessment, design, operation and maintenance, sustainability and climate change considerations, odour reduction, odour prevention, asset management best practices, current industry best practices, and a broad network of municipality experience
