The Martinez Unified School District is seeking proposals from qualified material testing firms approved by
DSA for material testing and special inspection services for the Alhambra High School and Morello Park
Elementary School Campuses.
Background Information:
General testing and special inspection services, including but not limited to building structures, on/off-site
and site service work for construction of new t/k elementary school buildings, a new gymnasium building,
and new upper synthetic turf field, new track, and new tennis court (PT-slab) and additions to the existing
campus, located at 1200 Morello Park Drive, & 150 E Street, Martinez, CA 94553. Project consists of
approximately 9,424 (AHS Gym) and 2,621 (Morello Park TK) square feet of new structures (single story
wood framed) in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by SVA Architects. AHS Upper
Field Project consists of & Huckabee. The project is bound by a project labor agreement. The successful
bidder is required to execute the agreement to be bound. This will occur at the time of award.

4. Local resources and presence.
Limitations:
The District reserves the right to redefine or adjust its priorities, and modify the process as it deems
necessary, and to select one or more firms to perform services. At its discretion, the District may eliminate
any firm or waive any informality in the selection process.
This Request for Proposal does not commit Martinez Unified School District to award a contract or to
reimburse the proposer for costs incurred in submitting this proposal. The Martinez Unified School District
reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received as a result of this request, to negotiate with any
proposer, to extend the submission deadline, or to amend or cancel in part or in its entirety this proposal,
if it is in the best interest of the District.
