Marin County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking proposals to provide peer-based support services for parents and family members of children, youth, and adults experiencing behavioral health challenges. This RFP will fund two complementary programs: (1) individualized, Medi-Cal–billable Peer Support services for family members of existing BHRS clients, and (2) Early Intervention psychoeducation and family support groups designed to strengthen coping skills, parenting practices, and family stability.
The individualized support program will deliver one-on-one peer support provided by certified Peer Support Specialists, integrated with BHRS systems of care and aligned with clients’ treatment and recovery goals. The group support program will offer open, weekly support and psychoeducation groups—virtual or in person—in English and Spanish, with a focus on early intervention and prevention.
The initial contract period is one year, with the possibility of up to four additional years based on performance and funding availability. Total first-year funding is $600,000, including Fee-for-Service Medi-Cal reimbursement for individual peer support services and per-session reimbursement for Early Intervention family support groups.
See RFP-HHS-2026-03 - Family Support Services for full details.
