The work to be performed under the terms of this Specification consists of planting trees on the site known as the 2025 TREEPLANTING PROJECT â DUTY SITE in BUCHANAN COUNTY, Virginia, for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The DutySite is located between State Route 697 and Knox Creek near its confluence with Pawpaw Creek. The site is approximatelythree miles northwest of the town of Hurley in Buchanan County, Virginia and can be accessed from State Route 697. Theapproximate project center coordinates are 37° 27â 18.22â N 82° 03â 15.40â W. The site is reclaimed abandoned mine landswith typical slopes of 2:1. Soil conditions vary from shallow rocky soils to loose uncompacted material.
