This notice does not constitute a request for proposal or request for quotation nor does it commit the government to contract for these services. The intent of this notice is to provide the pre-solicitation notice as required by FAR 5.2, Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions in preparation for release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) at a later date.
On or about November 17, 2024, the Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM) ,Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE), Customer Acquisition Services (CAS), anticipates issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for 24/7/36 Armed Guard Services for the Frances Perkins Building (FPB) located at 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington DC 20210, for The Security Center (SC), which is housed within OASAM.
The government contemplates a single Labor-Hours (LH) type Task Order, with a period of performance consisting of one (1) 3-month base period and three (3) 3-month option periods.
The requirement for Armed Guard Services shall be issued on a sole-source basis in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(C), as a logical follow-on contract to the current Federal Supply Schedule order, GS-07F-120GA/1605DC-19-F-00186, in the interest of efficiency and economy. There will be no set-Asides for small business contractors. Prospective Offerors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
The NAICS code for this requirement is – 561612 Security Guards and Patrol Services, with a size standard of $29 million. Contractors shall not directly contact the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist to discuss this requirement.
