RFP for Wood Utilization Grinding Services

The City and County of Denver Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is requesting proposals for wood utilization grinding services. DPR’s Office of the City Forester and Maintenance Division collects approximately 23,000 cubic yards of urban wood residue per year through pruning and/or removing of trees. Utilization of these tree branches and logs are completed via tub grinding. The City estimates that wood utilization services may be required approximately one to two (1-2) times per year, with an average of eighty (80) hours required per engagement. The City anticipates awarding one (1) contract with a maximum compensation amount of $450,000.00 over a three (3) year term. Proposers must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience with handling landscape materials.
