This project will safeguard a total of eleven (11) features: eight (8) adits and three (3) shafts/stopes. Closure methods for the hazardous mine openings include three (3) corrugated steel pipe (CSP) closures with access hatches and bat ladders; one (1) rock bulkhead closure with a bat ladder and access hatch; one (1) cable net shaft closure; one (1) steel grated shaft closure with a bat ladder and access; one (1) polyurethane foam (PUF) closure with access; and four (4) steel grated adit closures, all with bat ladders, and all but one (1) will also have access hatches. Finally, two (2) ineffective steel structures will need to be removed.
