Project: Request for Qualifications - Lawn Care and Ground Maintenance
RFQ Due: - February 27, 2026 at 4pm local time
The range of services includes, but is not limited to:
• Routine mowing and trimming of turf areas, with grass maintained at an approximate height of three inches (3"), mowed before exceeding a height of four inches (4"), and not cut below two and one-half inches (2.5").
• Edging along sidewalks, curbs, pathways, landscaped areas, and headstones.
• Lawn maintenance around playgrounds, athletic fields, public facilities, headstones, and memorial areas with no grass clippings ever present on sidewalks, pathways, headstones, hard surfaces, or other public use areas.
• Maintenance of turf areas surrounding public use features.
• Seasonal fertilization.
• Spring clean-up, including complete removal of accumulated debris and organic material, power thatching or hand raking as appropriate, turf restoration, and preparation for public use.
• Removal and proper disposal of litter, debris, and clippings generated during maintenance.
• Safety and environmental compliance with all applicable requirements.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
