IFB CSAC-25-02 Pension Plan Accounting Services

The Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) is inviting responses from qualified, certified vendors who will provide accounting and pension plan administration services for the Professional Boxers¿ Pension Plan.

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) is mandated to protect the health, safety and welfare of professional boxers, amateur boxers, kick boxers, and mixed martial arts competitors.   It is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the sport while acting in the best interest of the public and the participants.  In addition to this protection, Sections 18881 and 18882 of the Business and Professions Code mandate that the CSAC establish a Professional Boxers¿ Pension Plan (Plan) to provide some financial security for professional boxers. The Plan is set out in California Code of Regulations - Title 4, Division 2, Chapter 1, Article 12, 400 through 409.  Implementing these regulations requires managing and accounting services to the individual boxer and for the pension plan as a whole.
