The Town of Kilmarnock, Virginia, has received an offer of a Community Improvement Grant from the Department of Housing and Community Development and a Housing Planning Grant from Virginia Housing to fund Business District Revitalization planning activities. The outcome of the planning grants activities will be to complete a business district revitalization plan that will identify tasks and strategies that will improve the living conditions and economic conditions of Kilmarnock via the removal of blight, the revitalization of the Project Area, and opportunities to make housing part of the project.
