Summary

The City of Thousand Oaks is seeking a qualified consultant for the preparation of an Initial Study and appropriate environmental review document: Notice of Exemption (NOE), Mitigated Negative Declaration, Environmental Impact Report Addendum, or Environmental Impact Report (EIR), as determined to be appropriate, to meet the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for a project at 195 E. Hillcrest Drive (APN 669-0-021-255), to demolish an existing commercial office development and construct an approximately 577,080 square foot (s.f.) mixed-use development with 297 residential units with a 20% Density Bonus (Concessions and Waivers) providing 25 affordable units, approximately 11,207 s.f. of commercial space, surface parking, one parking structure with 438 parking spaces, including grading, hardscape, landscape, and encroachment and removal of various protected trees on an approximately 8.21-acre parcel .

The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members through district-based elections, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis.
