Heritage Roofing Restoration Contractors

McMaster University is issuing this Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) to identify and pre-qualify experienced and capable contractors for upcoming heritage roofing restoration projects across the University. The goal is to establish a roster of qualified suppliers who can be called upon for future projects involving the conservation and rehabilitation of traditional roofing systems on heritage buildings throughout campus. The scope of work may include, but is not limited to, the inspection and assessment of existing heritage roofing systems, repair or replacement using historically appropriate materials and methods, structural reinforcement, and the preservation or replication of original architectural details such as cornices, flashing, and ornamental elements. Contractors with demonstrated expertise in heritage conservation and traditional roofing restoration techniques are encouraged to respond.

The term of this RFSQ (Heritage Contractors) is for three (3) years from the date of the award, with an option to be extended for two (2) additional one (1) plus one (1) year terms.
