Synopsis:
|
|
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of harvesting services for Meadow Lake Provincial Park (MLPP), as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A).
The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sports (PCS), Park Division is responsible for managing the enhancement of Saskatchewan’s provincial parks system, conservation of the ecosystems and cultural resources to provide a safe and healthy environment for park visitors.
The outcomes expected from this competition are:
• Forest Renewal of 2000 hectares (ha) of park forest land in MLPP over a five-year period; and
• Reduction of overmature forest in MLPP which will improve the forest age class distribution while also reducing wildfire risk in the park.
