2025 Gravel Crushing Tender

The RM of Medstead No. 497 is accepting sealed tenders for crushing either 25,000 yards of 1 inch, Type 105 or Type 106, Crushed Road Gravel to be ready for hauling on our roads in 2026. The RM would like bids on both types of crushed gravel and will make the final decision at the meeting. The RM reserves the right to reduce the said approximate quantities up to 20%.

SECTION 1: INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS

Tender Requirements

The RM is accepting sealed tenders for the crushing of 25,000 yards of 1”, Type 105 or Type 106, crushed road gravel.

Pit is located on SW26-50-15W3.

The tender must include the following:

Contractor Legal Name and Address
Bid Amount in dollars per cubic yard for crushing 25,000 yards of 1”, for both Type 105 or Type 106 crushed road gravel
Bid Amount in dollars per cubic yard for the reject gravel
Fuel Surcharge, if applicable
Tender Unit Price shall NOT include GST
Outline the equipment available to perform the work
Start and End Date
Workers Compensation Board Letter of Good Standing
Liability Insurance (minimum of 2,000,000 liability per incident)
Three Business References

All sealed tenders must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 to the Municipal Office located on 209 Second Street, Medstead, SK, by postmarked mail to the following address or emailed to rm497@sasktel.net:

Tenders will be opened at the Regular Meeting of Council on February 19th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.

All tenders will be opened and will be offered fair consideration by Council. The RM of Medstead No. 497 reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, to waive defects in any bid or tender documents, to not necessarily award the lowest tender and to accept any tender which it may consider to be in the best interest of the municipality. Late tenders will not be accepted.
