Q&A as of May 27:

Q1. I understand there are 183 employees at all locations, each being issued 5 coveralls, then you need weekly was of dirty which could be 2 or 3 dirty each week. Correct? If not, please explain.

A1. Yes, 5 issued with 2 to 3 being cleaned on a weekly basis. We have up to 227 positions. Right now with the hiring freeze and deployments, we only have 157 people currently in place. These numbers will fluctuate throughout the year depending on people coming and going from our shops.

Q2. I understand that you need a total of 12,700 rags at all locations continuously and you want monthly wash. This means we should have an inventory of 2 or 2.5 times the amount to cover the service. Correct? If not, please explain.

A2. We have a monthly amount we need to keep at the shop. Our weekly use fluctuates, and we cannot short our shops if they have an extremely busy/dirty week of work. We also don’t want to be charged weekly for a large number of rags we are not using.

Q3. I understand that you have a total of 56 scraper mats, 5 traction rugs, and 5 rug runners at all your locations and you want monthly wash. Is that correct? If not, please explain.

A3. Currently the scraper mats are swapped when they are dirty, we are charged monthly to have them. The traction rugs and runners, since they are carpet, are swapped monthly for cleaning.

Q4. Is there an existing contract?

A4. Similar work was previously awarded last year under contract W911YN24C0006. The first option was not exercised, resulting in this subsequent solicitation.

Q5. Suggest reducing the inventory of rags and require weekly services. This will reduce your cost as the driver will drive to this location for coverall anyway and they can pick up the rags as well. Reducing the inventory, will reduce your cost significantly.

A5. Feel free to provide a quote for both weekly and monthly rag service for the Government to analyze and choose best option.

Q6. Suggest requiring weekly mat cleaning. Your price would not change, and you get a clean mat every week. Again, you get charged for the inventory and not the frequency of wash.

A6. Feel free to provide a quote for both weekly and monthly mat service for the Government to analyze and choose best option.

NOTE: The RFQ contains a Performance Work Statement not a Statement of Work. Vendors are encouraged to also include alternate recommended solutions in their quote that will meet the Government's needs for optimal cost savings.

Rags, Coveralls and Mat cleaning and delivery services are needed for 19 locations across the state of Florida. Coveralls will be serviced weekly; mats and rags will be serviced monthly. This RFQ is Full and Open Competition with preference to HUBzone small businesses. See attached PWS and Combined Synopsis-Solicitation for details.
