The City of New Haven is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to perform permanent road patching services for utility cuts and pavement failures across various locations within the city. This work is necessary to maintain roadway safety, extend pavement life, and ensure a consistent and durable driving surface for the public.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the inspection, preparation, and permanent restoration of roadway surfaces impacted by utility excavations, trenching activities, and general pavement deterioration. Contractors shall be responsible for saw cutting, excavation, removal of unsuitable materials, installation of appropriate base and sub-base materials, and placement of asphalt or other approved surface treatments in accordance with city specifications.
Work will be performed on an as-needed basis throughout the City of New Haven, and locations may vary depending on operational priorities and emergency conditions. The selected contractor must be prepared to respond in a timely manner, coordinate with city departments and utility companies, and adhere to all applicable safety standards, traffic control requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
All work must meet or exceed the standards established by the City of New Haven and relevant governing agencies. Contractors are expected to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to complete the work in a professional and efficient manner.
