2026-01 DEMOLITION PROJECT
Sealed bids for the work comprising the improvement as stated below must be filed before 10:00 am local time on May 7th, 2026; in the office of the City of Newton Community Development Director, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, IA.
Sealed proposals will be opened and bids tabulated at 10:00 am local time on May 7th, 2026; in the Community Development Office, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, IA; for consideration by the Newton City Council at its meeting on May 18th, 2026; at the Newton City Council Chambers. The City of Newton reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
General Nature of Project:
Demolition Project 2026-01
Project consists of asbestos abatement, lead paint abatement, and demolition work at Bungalow #2, 827 E 8th St S, 209 S 15th Ave W; all in Newton, Iowa.
The work shall commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, and shall be completed on or before August 15th, 2026.
