Description:

The State University of New York at College of Optometry will receive sealed bids for project number 011124S titled 15 th Floor South Wing Ceiling, Lighting, and Sprinkler Installation until 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on December 5, 2024 (Thursday) at Room 937, Business Affairs Office, 33 West 42 nd Street, New York NY 10036, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud ZOOM Meeting at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on December 5, 2024 (Thursday).

All work on this Contract is to be completed within ninety (90) calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed.

A pre-bid project Mandatory walk-through will be held with all contractors assemble at SUNY College of Optometry, 33 West 42 nd Street, New York NY 10036 on November 14, 2024 (Thursday) at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Pre-registration is required. A pre-bid project walk-through is Mandatory. No individual or additional walk-throughs will be provided. Please contact Ting, yleeshue@sunyopt.edu for registration before November 13, 2024 (Wednesday) at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The College needs to renovate 15 th Floor South Wing, approximately 3,125 SF, which shall include, but not limited to the following:

  • Remove and replace ceiling and lighting
  • Remove and replace diffuser and return grille
  • Install new sprinkler lines and connect to existing riser
  • Patch and paint if needed
  • Modify ductwork if needed

Licensed Electrician is required to do all the electrical work.

Licensed Master Plumber (LMP) and Licensed Master Fire Suppression Contractor (LFSC) are required to do all the sprinkler lines work.

Licensed Asbestos Contractor is required if any asbestos abatement involved.

Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.

It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.

The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
