Request for Proposals (FY 2024 County Audit Services)
PUBLIC NOTICE: The Board of County Commissioners of Osage County is accepting Proposals from qualified firms of Certified Public Accountant(s) to audit the County’s financial statements and perform agreed upon procedures for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. Proposals must be received by the Osage County Clerk’s office (717 Topeka Ave, Lyndon, KS 66451) no later than 3:00 p.m. December 31, 2025. Proposals will be publicly opened at the regular Osage County Board of County Commissioners meeting on January 5, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
PRINCIPLE ITEMS OF WORK: Audit is to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS); Kansas Municipal Audit and Accounting Guide (KMAAG); the standards set forth for financial audits in the GAO’s Government Auditing Standards, issued by the comptroller General of the United States; and the audit requirements of Title 2 U.S Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost of Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).
QUALIFICATIONS: Respondents must be licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Kansas to be considered.
Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with all required documents included and be clearly marked with “2024 County Audit RFP.” The Osage County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.
