This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for market research and planning purposes. This is not a solicitation, and no quotes or pricing proposals are requested or will be accepted at this time. The Government is seeking information from industry providers to shape its acquisition strategy for an upcoming requirement encompassing both manual automotive cleaning facility/repair services and associated wash rack commodities.
Specifically, the Government is seeking industry feedback on the feasibility of a single-award solution versus a split acquisition strategy. Please address the following questions in your response:
1. Single-Source Capability: Can a single prime contractor feasibly provide both the certified maintenance/repair services (draft PWS) and procure/supply all the specified wash rack commodities (Excel document)?
2. Industry Norms: Is it more standard within this industry for a single company to manage both the service execution and commodity procurement, or is it typically executed by separating the service contract from the commodity procurement?
3. Is the proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) (811310) appropriate?
4. In addition to the above, the following information is requested from interested offerors:
Industry partners are highly encouraged to submit clarifying questions regarding the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the commodity list. All feedback, capabilities statements, and questions will be used strictly to refine the Government's requirements for this project.
Questions regarding this potential requirement are due by Wednesday, 17 June. Questions and answers will be posted prior to announcement closing.
All questions and responses shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer identified in this notice.
