Description: The project Owner is Northland Workforce Training Center who is a tenant within the facility owned by Buffalo Urban Development Corporation.
The project includes the construction of a replica ‘smart building’ within the facility at 683 Northland and will incorporate renewable energy technology into model commercial building, integrating energy production, sustainable building systems and smart controls. We are creating a living laboratory for students at the Northland Workforce Training Center to learn cutting-edge technology and building systems for use in a rapidly expanding clean technology workforce.
Added to the scope mentioned above is an Experience Center, which is a public facing educational component that is located within the same facility but not physically connected to the main project.
