NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Newton County Commission is seeking bids for road building materials for the Newton County Common and Special Road District. The Newton County Commission will accept sealed bids clearly marked Bid 2026-02 Culverts, Bid 2026-03 Concrete, Bid 2026-04 Seal Coat, Bid 2026-05 Road Aggregates, Bid 2026-06 Road Oil-MC, Bid 2026-07 Hot Mix, Bid 2026-08 Cold Mix, Bid 2026-09 Plant Mix, Bid 2026-10 Transportation until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at which time the Commission will convene to open and read the bids. This will be for ten separate bids. Sealed bids must be received no later than the above deadline and must contain enough comprehensive information for evaluation. Any bid not received at the appointed time shall be disqualified. Newton County will not accept any emailed bids, collect calls, COD shipments or postage due mailings. The County Commission reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids. Questions relating to this bid shall be referred to Commissioner Mark Knight, 417 451 8223.
