General Construction Contract: D006331 Demolition of "Pigeon House" (2056sf), "Maintenance Workshop" (1044sf), "Cellar" (522sf), and Open Shed (950sf). Construction of two buildings: a "Maintenance and Operations" 8100sf building and a 2916sf Equipment Shed. This work also encompasses all utility site work and trenching, relocation of a "Waste Oil Tank", a 400sf sand storage, demo of concrete pad (635sf), and new parking area. Estimated Range: $4,239,934.50- $5,736,381.96

Mechanical Contract D006333 Provide and install all specified mechanical systems for a "Maintenance and Operations" 8100sf building Estimated Range: $220,174.17- $297,882.70

Electrical Contract D006332 Provide and install all specified building and site electrical components for a "Maintenance and Operations" 8100sf building and a 2916sf Equipment Shed. Provide temporary power to Greenhouse, Fuel Station, and Residential Buildings during construction and restore to permanent power after construction. Estimated Range: $448,132.91 - $606,297.46

Plumbing Contract D006334 Provide and install all specified building and site plumbing and drainage systems for a “Maintenance and Operations” 8100sf building and a 2916sf “Equipment Shed”. Estimated Range: $238,660.68- $322,893.87

Pursuant to Public Building Law § 8(6), any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,628,283 or less (maximum amount has been adjusted for inflation effective January 1, 2024). If more than one responsible and reliable MWBE firm meets the requirements, the MWBE firm with lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder.

CONTRACTOR REGISTRY REQUIREMENT in December 2024

Newly established subsection 220-I to Article 8 requires contractors to register with the Bureau of Public Work and Prevailing Wage Enforcement. This registration must be completed prior to bidding on public work projects or commencing work on public work projects or covered private projects that are subject to the prevailing wage pursuant to Sections 224-a, 224-d, & 224-e.
The effective date of the registration requirement is December 30, 2024. No contractors or subcontractors are required to register prior to that date.
