Project Description: Summary Description of Work: replacement of bridge deck including protection shielding over
existing Amtrak rail line below the bridge deck, reinforcing of existing steel structure, concrete deck,
expansion joints, wearing course, painting, pavement markings, traffic attenuators, signage, asbestos and
lead paint removals, maintenance of traffic and work area protection, and related Work at the Galvin
Plaza bridge and vicinity thereof, at the Lincoln Tunnel, New York, New York, all as directed by the
Engineer and in accordance with Work Order(s) issued by the Engineer
This Contract contains the following Prerequisites:
A. The bidder must demonstrate the following:
1.) That the bidder has worked on at least two projects of similar size and type in the past five years.
2.) That the bidder has worked on at least one project on or near a railroad where access requirements, rail safety requirements and close coordination with the rail line were required and preference will be given to contractors with recent experience with Amtrak.
