Qty TBD Metal shelving plates for 4' x 9' warehouse racking (48.5" x 47.5") The Goods must meet or exceed the following specifications:
1/16th” thick galvanized steel
1.5” tabs or flanges folded 90 degrees along the two (2) edges measuring 47.5” (and 59.5”) long; these flanges hang over the outer edge of the shelf rails
Three (3) supports on the underside of each panel, oriented 90 degrees perpendicular to the edges measuring 47.5” (and 59.5”) and bearing the tabs or flanges that overlap the shelf rails. These supports are required to provide strength to support the load placed on the shelves. The supports are to be affixed to the underside of each panel at the following measurements:
These support “bars” are to measure 42.5” (length) x 1.5” x 1” x 1.5”, with the 1” section welded to the underside of the panel, and the 1.5” on either side of this downward facing channel providing structural support. (see photos for design and configuration)
Placement of the underside supports: 48.5” x 47.5” panel:
Centre support: 23 ¾” from either edge (centre of the 47.5” length).
Outer supports: 3.5” from each edge
Placement of the underside supports: 48.5” x 59.5” panel:
Centre support: 29 ¾” from either edge (centre of the 59.5” length).
Outer supports: 4.5” or 5” from each edge.
The supports can be either tapered, as shown in the photos, or be cut off straight; There must be three inches (3”) of space between the end of the support bar and edge bearing the flange at either side of the panel, in order for the panel to sit flat atop the horizontal rails that are attached to the shelving uprights. Three inches accommodates a variety of rail widths or sizes.
Overall shelving unit lengths are either 12 or 9 ft. Three shelving panels per 12’ linear section of shelving or one 4’ and one 5’ piece per 9’ linear section of shelving.
The qty (10) 48.5” x 59.5” are priority for this quotation and must be quoted at this specified quantity.
The quantity of the 48.5” x 47.5” panels will be determined by the supplier. Total amount of the quotation must not exceed $35,000. The expectation is approximately qty (230) of this size of panel.
