QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
BID NUMBER: ITB 016-026, TITLE: GENERATOR PM AND REPAIR SERVICES
June 4, 2026
RE: Q&A Document
This Q&A document is being issued to address questions that were received from vendors ahead of the question submittal deadline.
Q: Is there a set wage order for this project?
A: No, there is not.
Q: In the scope of work it states that there will be a summer and winter PM done on the units, are you counting these as a
service (fluid and filter change) at both PMs or is it a service in the summer with an inspection and load bank for the
winter PM?
A: The fluid and filter change only needs to be done once annually, we'll let the vendor decide whether to do that at the summer
or winter visit. The load bank test must be done at the winter visit.
Q: What year were batteries last replaced in each of the generators?
A: DAC generator and EPiC generator battery replaced 03/24/2025. The remaining two (2) generators are less than two years old
and have not required a battery.
Q: What year were air filters last replaced on each of the generators?
A: DAC generator and EPiC generator air filters were replaced 03/24/2025. The remaining two (2) generators are less than two
years old and have not required an air filter replacement.
Q: NFPA 110 guidelines for Load banks is to complete a 4-Hour load bank every third year, when was the last time (year)
these generators had 4-hour load banks?
A: Both the DAC generator and EPiC generator had a load test completed in November of 2024, we believe they have only ever
had 2-hour load bank tests completed. The remaining two (2) generators are less than two years old and have not had a load
test completed.
Q: With the load bank are you wanting a 2-hour or 4-hour test done?
A: Two (2) hour load bank test applying the load in steps of 25% of rated capacity for 30 minutes, then progressing through 50%,
75%, and finally 100% load, each stage for a 30-minute time period. At each step all readings shall be recorded. Allow the
generator to stabilize at each load level before increasing further.
