Bid No. 307: Surplus Property Bid - Portable Classrooms
Bid Invitation
The Pearl Public School District hereby invites sealed bids for the purchase of surplus property in
the form of portable classrooms. The sale will be conducted in accordance with the Mississippi
Code 1972, Sections 31-7-13 and relevant regulations as stipulated by the Office of the State
Auditor's Purchase Law Summary, effective July 1, 2024sp. All bidding must adhere to the
conditions and instructions outlined below.
Details of the Surplus Property
Description: The portable classrooms are being sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties or
guarantees provided by the School District.
• Item 2: double-wide 28x60 double classroom with two restrooms and heated and cooled

Bid Submission Requirements
1. Bid Format: All bids must be sealed and clearly labeled on the outside of the envelope
as:

2. Bid Deadline: Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 10:00 am, on June 8, 2026.
Bids received after this time will not be considered.
3. Bid Opening: Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on June 8, 2026, at 10:00 am,
at the School District Central Office located at 3375 Hwy 80E. Pearl, MS 39208.
4. Minimum Bid: There is no minimum bid, but the School District reserves the right to
reject any and all bids.
5. Bid Contents:
o Name, address, and contact information of the bidder.
o A signed bid proposal indicating the total amount offered for each portable
classroom.
o Certification that the bidder agrees to the sale terms, including the as-is, where-is
condition.
Conditions of Sale
1. Inspection: The portable classrooms will be available for inspection on June 2, 2026, at
1:00 pm by appointment. Interested bidders should contact Larry Nichols at 601-932-
7923 to schedule an inspection.
2. Payment Terms: The successful bidder must provide full payment within 10 business
days following notification of award. Payment must be made by certified check, cashier's
check, or money order payable to Pearl Public School District.
3. Removal of Property: The successful bidder will be responsible for the removal of the
portable classrooms at their own expense. Removal must be completed within 15 days of
payment. Any damage to district property during removal will be the bidder's
responsibility. Removal must be scheduled in advance with Larry Nichols and may be
required to remove outside of school hours.
4. Acceptance of Bids: The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all
bids or to accept any part of a bid deemed most advantageous to the district. Bids that do
not meet the conditions outlined in this invitation will be rejected.

• Governing Law: The bid process and sale are governed by Mississippi Code Section 31-
7-13, as amended, and other applicable laws.
