Studies for Preservation of Nine Salt Marshes

The Town of Chatham, through its Town Manager, is seeking proposals from interested parties to conduct Studies for Preservation of Nine Salt Marshes as detailed in the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents.

This solicitation is issued pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 30B, the Uniform Procurement Act and all contracts will be awarded in strict accordance with Chapter 30B. The Town may waive only minor informalities as permitted by law and cannot consider proposals that fail to meet the Act’s requirements. If revisions or additional information become necessary, the Town will issue an addendum to all parties who received the original RFP.

Sealed proposals must be submitted in the required format(s) and can be hand-delivered or mailed to the attention of the Town Manager, Jill Goldsmith, Town of Chatham, 549 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633. Proposals should be delivered to the Town of Chatham no later than 2:00 pm on October 3, 2025. Proposers are fully responsible for ensuring the timely receipt of their completed response to this RFP at the location noted above. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly marked “TECHNICAL PROPOSAL – Studies for Preservation of Nine Salt Marshes,” including a separately sealed price proposal that is labeled “COST PROPOSAL – Studies for Preservation of Nine Salt Marshes”

Any contract awarded as a result of this RFP is subject to the approval of the Town Manager for the Town of Chatham.  A contract will be awarded, if at all, on a negotiated basis, with a total fee not to exceed $__140,000.00___, subject to negotiation and subject to all procedures outlined in the RFP, as well as all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.  Any contract awarded as a result of this RFP will be awarded within 90 days.

The Town reserves the right to cancel this RFP or reject in whole or in part any or all proposals, or to make an award in any manner consistent with the law, as serves the best interests of the Town of Chatham.
