AMENDMENT 0001:
The Government is amending this opportunity to add references 53711-7085258 & 53711 – 7561442 to the Drawings package. The response time is extended as a result of this inclusion.
AMENDMENT 0002:
The Government is amending this opportunity to dissolve the 100% small business set-aside and solicit this opportunity unrestrcited. The response time for this action is extended until April 7, 2025.
AMENDMENT 0003:
The Government is responding to the following questions from industry:
Question: The RFP calls out for the tank Shell, AFT, and FWD bulkheads. Could the additional referenced drawings be made available to inustry?
Answer: Note 6 on drawing “SHELL, FUEL TANK, SHORT” calls out a pressure test using 2571132 and 3209500. Those assemblies will be provided by the government, waived, or BULKHEAD, FUEL TANK, FWD and BULKHEAD, FUEL TANK, AFT will be used as the approved equivalent.
Question: I am trying to source the material called on the drawing. However, engineering had previously approved the 7075-T652 during the market research process. Has the government decided that it must be T651? T652 is a forging and T651 is an extrusion?
Answer: T652 tempering, although may be stronger, would not be affordable for the program. T651 has been used for an equivalent parts and has proved to be the correct tempering for the job.
This opportunity will remain open until 1400 EST April 9, 2025.
