The PUCT is issuing an RFP for a Contractor to: (i) provide expert consulting services toassist the Commission in the development of standards for the structuralintegrity of transmission and distribution poles in accordance with newlyenacted Texas Utilities Code § 38.006; (ii) review and analyze distribution pole plans and updates andtransmission and distribution structural integrity standards reports filed byutilities in compliance with House Bill 144 (89 ^th R.S.) and SenateBill 1789 (89 ^th R.S.) and adopted rules; and (iii) providerecommendations to the Commission regarding utilities’ compliance with thesubmitted plans, updates, and reports.
