The City of Hialeah is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to lead the City of Hialeah Educational Academy - Phase 4 Expansion project. The selected CMAR will be responsible for providing pre-construction, construction & post-construction services in close cooperation with the City & Architect/Engineer. The Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) will be responsible for building and completing the project within the GMP of $7,500,000.00, including receipt of $2,900,000.00 from the Expansion Grant from the Florida Department of Education, Project No. 13B-91340-3D001 . This Construction Management at Risk delivery method is intended to expedite the Project to market, fostering enhanced synergies through the collaborative efforts of the City, the CMAR, and the Architect /Engineer team throughout the entire project delivery. The successful CMAR will assemble an experienced and technically proficient team capable of working collaboratively with City staff, other consultants, and all stakeholders.
It additionally is an express condition precedent to the award of this solicitation that the City, as Landlord and City of Hialeah Education Academy, Inc., as Tenant, have executed a Master Lease Agreement for the premises described therein which include the location of this work.
This project shall represent the next expansion for the City of Hialeah Educational Academy. A public school serving the City of Hialeah community and Miami-Dade County. The proposed structure shall be a 3-story, 23,970 sq.ft. classroom wing addition to be constructed with the existing parking lot footprint. The 1st floor shall be elevated on columns so as to allow for the 1st floor parking use to continue.
