Project Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS BOROUGH OF MORTON
Online bids will be received by Nether Providence Township, online via the PennBid Program at www.PennBid.BonfireHub.com until 10:00 AM, on September 23, 2025 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for Houston Park – Beatty Run Bridge improvements. The scope of work for this project includes installation of lighting, parking lot construction, and related work.
Major items: 1400 SY ADA Accessible Bituminous Path, Site Clearing, Grading & Slope Stabilization, ADA Ramp Installation, 700 SY New Parking Lot Paving, 350 LF New Parking Lot Striping, 13 New Parking Bumpers, 1 New ADA Parking Sign and associated restoration.
All Bid Documents, Construction Plans and Specifications will be available online via the PennBid Program at http://www.PennBid.BonfireHub.com at no cost to prospective bidders.
The successful bidder who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid Program a fee of 1/3 % of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $150.00 and a maximum of
$6,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid.
A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid, made payable to the Borough of Morton must accompany each bid.
Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification Form, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price.
The Borough of Morton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any informalities in the bidding, as they deem in the best interest of the Borough.
