The purpose of this Request for Bid is to establish a contract or issue a purchase order with the responsive and responsible vendor that submits the lowest priced bid for the installation of a chain link fence at Snow College. Below are the details of the proposed work:
Scope of Work
Fence Type: Standard galvanized chain link fence
Height: 8 feet
Total Length: Approximately 306 feet (Vendor is responsible for final measurements)
Gates:
One (1) 10-foot wide double swing gate (two 5-foot panels)
One (1) 3-foot wide pedestrian swing gate (man gate)
Final gate locations to be determined by the Snow College Project Manager
Materials and Installation
Posts: Galvanized steel posts set in concrete footings (minimum 24" depth or per local code)
Top Rail: Continuous galvanized steel top rail
Fencing: 9-gauge galvanized chain link
Tension Wire: Bottom tension wire for added stability
Fittings & Hardware: All necessary galvanized fittings, caps, and ties
Gates: Welded galvanized steel frames with appropriate hinges, latches, and locking mechanisms
Concrete: Minimum 2,500 PSI concrete mix for all post footings
Site Preparation: Post holes will need to be dug by awarded vendor
Cleanup: All debris and excess materials will be removed upon project completion
Timeline
Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible
Estimated Completion Time: Fencing must be completed no later than Mid-September
Warranty
Workmanship Warranty: 1-year warranty on installation
Material Warranty: Manufacturer’s warranty on all fencing materials
Please note: All labor and travel costs must be included in the total bid amount. No additional charges will be allowed after the bid is awarded.
Evaluation of Quotes: Each quote received shall be evaluated for responsiveness in as outlined in the Utah Procurement Code. This RFQ shall be evaluated by the objective criteria described in this RFQ. Quotes submitted must comply with the specification identified in this RFQ.
Multiple or alternate quotes will not be accepted. If a vendor submits multiple or alternate quotes, Snow College will only accept the bidder's primary bid and will not accept any other bids constituting multiple or alternate bids.
Snow College Purchasing may solicit other quotes via email, phone, or other methods as permitted by the Utah Procurement Code or applicable Administrative Rules.
