Description

Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Guyana will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available.



The U.S. Embassy Georgetown has a requirement for a construction project as follows:



Location: Georgetown, Guyana



This project is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000.



The Embassy will not provide any advance payment for this project. Progress and final payment shall be affected in accordance with the SOW under payment section and will be done through bank transfer and upon receipt of an invoice with banking details.



All firms that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work. At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal:




  • Be able to understand written and spoken English.

  • Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing.

  • Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work.

  • Have all licenses and permits required by local law.

  • Meet all local insurance requirements.

  • Have the ability to obtain a performance bond or to post adequate performance security, such as irrevocable letters of credit or guarantees issued by a reputable financial institution.

  • Have no adverse criminal record.

  • Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States.

  • Have good experience and past performance records; and,

  • Identify specialized experience and technical competence required to complete the work in accordance with this solicitation.



The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract.



The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation.



All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
