- Summary:The work includes maintenance dredging by mechanical plant of the Western Branch Lynnhaven River (WBLR) & Old Donation Creek neighborhood SSD channel systems. This includes mechanical dredging of a city channel, SSD channels, and individual access basins to depths and widths indicated. Dredged material will be conveyed by barge to the Thalia Transfer Station and offloaded into sealed bed trucks for hauling to the Whitehurst Dredged Material Disposal Area on Oceana Blvd. Estimated maximum volumes are 33,845 cy (WBLR) and 16,634 cy (ODC) at required depths including allowable over dredge depth. Several daymarks and dayboards will be installed/replaced.
