Request for Proposals: Silver Summit Services Building Exterior Art Benches

Project Description: Goals of the Silver Summit Services Building Exterior Benches:
SCPAAB is seeking seven artistic benches, two which will be 8 feet, and five which will
be five feet for the exterior of the Silver Summit Services Building that will:
● Reflect the goals of the project including the project’s theme of unity, community, justice, service, law and order.
● Engage the viewer beyond the project’s installation.
● The artwork must be fabricated in durable, permanent, outdoor materials that are safe, easily maintained, and proven its viability in public installations. The artwork must be able to withstand deep snowfall, high winds, and variable temperatures.
● The artwork must be suitable for public viewing by all ages and the general public.
Artwork that has profanity, nudity, political messaging or otherwise inappropriate
content will not be considered. Artwork proposals shall be appropriate for a diverse public audience and should not include political or partisan messaging, advocacy-related imagery, or symbols commonly associated with divisive social or political movements. The intent of this project is to create artwork that is broadly welcoming, community centered and accessible to all visitors.
