Description
VA Maryland Healthcare is conducting this Sources Sought to identify contractors who possess capabilities to provide the services described in the Statement of Work below.
As permitted by the FAR Part 10, this is a market research tool being utilized for the informational and planning purposes. Your responses will assist the Government in the development of its acquisition strategy.
Response is strictly voluntary it is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in formal RFQ process that may take place in the future. However, it should be noted that information gathered through this notice may significantly influence our acquisition strategy. All interested parties will be required to respond separately to any solicitation posted as a result of this sources sought notice.
Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. We appreciate your interest and thank you in advance for responding to the sources sought.
This service will be implemented using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561612.
If a small business is interested in this procurement, they must provide at least 51 percent of the services rendered.
NOTES
All Capability Statements/Responses to this Sources Sought Notice shall be submitted via email only to tracy.dotson@va.gov. Telephone, Fax, or any other form of communication inquiries will not be reviewed or accepted. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received no later than June 30, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). This Sources Sought Notice may or may not assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it may or may not be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this Sources Sought Notice.

REFERENCE: VA Maryland Health Care System
PURPOSE: Provide uniformed Armed Guard to transport Agent Cashier (Government employee) from VA Medical Center, 10 North Greene St., Baltimore, Md. to 3900 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, Md. Additional trips will be required at least one time per week to take Agent Cashier from the VA Medical Center, 10 North Greene St., Baltimore, Md. to M&T Bank, 329 W. Baltimore, MD
REQUIREMENTS: VA has a requirement for contractor support services to provide security transportation. Except as otherwise provided herein, the Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, manpower, material, supplies, clothing, and equipment necessary to accomplish the services identified within the statement of work. During the term of this contract for the security transportation services required for the VA may change locations to pick up sites; therefore, the requirement for services may increase or decrease through the addition or deletion of VA sites and locations. The Contractor shall be required to employ personnel who are qualified to legally carry weapons and who can pass a background investigation.
STANDARDS: Provide uniformed Armed Guard to transport Agent Cashier (Government employee) from VA Medical Center, 10 North Greene St., Baltimore, Md. to 3900 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, Md. every Tuesday @ 10am. Additional trips will be required at least one time per week to take Agent Cashier from the VA Medical Center, 10 North Greene St., Baltimore, Md. to M&T Bank, 329 W. Baltimore, MD. This may be required more than once during the week. Agent Cashier will provide 24-hour notice to schedule the trip. This purchase order covers the period of 10/01/2025 - 09/30/2026, plus (4) 1-year option periods. Vendor is required to provide the gas for the vehicle, tolls and uniforms and parking fees. REQUIRED REPORTING: All contractor personnel authorized to pick-up deliver currency to and from the VA Medical Center shall wear the Contractor s identification
badge, which is authorized and used by the Contractor. While performing services at the VA Medical Center, the Contractor and his/her employees are subject to the rules and regulations of the VA Medical Center.
If shipment is lost or stolen, Contractor shall immediately notify the Agent Cashier, who will in turn notify the Chief Financial Officer, VAMHCS, who will in turn notify the Associate Director for Finance.
JUSTIFICATION: Guard is necessary for the security of the Agent Cashier to provide funds to patient. Contract is needed as it will affect direct patient care.
