Project start date: ASAP upon contract acceptance; must be completed no later than Friday, August 8, 2025.
New Door Operator and Power Unit – 535 Building Elevator
Contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials and equipment to perform the following:
 Install a new, non-propriety GAL MOVFR closed-loop door operator.
o The equipment will consist of a motor with heavy duty sprocket, chain, belt and sheaves.
o This operator will regulate speed via motor performance feedback and automatically adjust for external conditions including debris in the track.
 Replace the power motor with new, upgraded equipment.
Scope of work will include:
 Remove old and original style door operator
 Build steel supports for new door operator
 Install new GAL MOVFR closed-loop door operator
 Replace the door rollers that are bad
 Adjust torque on new door operator
 Adjust and ensure optimal door operation
 Drain the oil on the existing power unit
 Remove the old power unit
 Install new power unit
 Mount the controller
 Make the proper connections and wire the new power unit in
 Install new soft start
 Fill hydraulic tank with oil
 Adjust valve for proper operation
 Test and return unit to service
 Test operation and return car to service
All materials and workmanship should have a minimum of a one (1) year guarantee; unless damage is due to equipment exposure to water or other weather-related conditions.
The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (PA PWA) requires that contractors and subcontractors on public works projects in Pennsylvania pay their workers at least the prevailing wage rates for their respective crafts or classifications. Collegium Charter School is publicly funded and therefore falls under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
Contract Terms:
25% deposit upon contract acceptance.
Net 30 days after project completion.
