KAYAK VENDOR, WALKER FARM - SPECIFICATIONS

SPECIFICATIONS FOR KAYAK VENDOR AT WALKER FARM

Location: South end grassy area of Walker Farm
Storage: for 10-12 kayaks and 6 paddleboards; life vests required
Time Frame: April 1, 2026 - October 30, 2028*
Hours of Operation: Dawn to dusk
Kayaking area: No restrictions

Vendor will organize, coordinate, supervise and be responsible for all tasks required to conduct a kayak business at Walker Farm.

Vendor will be responsible for providing kayak racks and all other equipment. The equipment shall be maintained by the vendor in good condition while in use at Walker Farm. Allowable storage at the site associated with the kayak business is limited to kayaks, oars and paddleboards and shall not include equipment such as food/water, or other ancillary items.

Any large parties shall utilize parking at the White Church.

Per year, the area at Walker Farm from which the business is coordinated shall be restored to its pre-use condition each fall after the storage rack is removed.

The kayak business shall be responsible for keeping the storage area clean and secure.

Fee: The rental fee shall be part of the bidding process with a minimum acceptable bid of $300.00.

The contract between the town and the vendor shall terminate on October 30, 2026, October 30, 2027 and October 30, 2028*.

The vendor will provide the town with the appropriate application form, notarized indemnification form, and liability insurance, naming the town of Barrington as an additional insured. The vendor will also provide the necessary licenses from the State of Rhode Island.

The Town of Barrington reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
