Addenda: 0
Release Date: 10/14/2026
Due Date: 10/30/2026
The City of Tucson intends to establish an annual requirements contract for the purchase of water treatment cartridge filters for the removal of sediment at the Tucson Airport Remediation Project (TARP) Water Treatment Plant. Specifications are described in the Scope of Work. The City intends to award on the basis of the Total bid offered but reserves the right to award based on what is deemed to be the most advantageous to the City, and may result in multiple awards.
Tucson Water operates the TARP and the Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP) Water Treatment Facility, with a current nominal design capacity of 7,200 gallons per minute (gpm). The facility treats groundwater to remove volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) including trichloroethylene (TCE), and 1,4-dioxane, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS); and delivers the treated water to the city’s recycled water distribution system. The facility is part of a long-term remedial action being conducted under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as, the Federal Superfund.
