  • Summary It is the City's intent to enter a one (1) year term contract, beginning January 1, 2026, for fluorosilicic acid. Deliveries will be made by order releases "as required" from the requesting departments/divisions.

PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS

2.1 The Contractor shall provide Fluorosilicic Acid (H2SiF6), 25%, conforming to the latest ANSI/AWWA Standard B-703. Product must also be certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60 - Drinking Water Treatment chemicals.

2.2 The Contractor shall furnish a certified chemical analysis of the product introduced into the City's containers with each delivery. This analysis shall include percent (H2SiF6), the concentration in parts per billion of arsenic and lead and a gas chromatographic/mass spec analysis of any organic compounds present at concentrations greater than 10 parts per billion.

2.3 If there are no organics present with concentrations greater than 10 ppb, the certified analysis shall state this. The City will periodically verify these analyses with its own laboratory facilities. Any material not meeting ANSI/AWWA Standard B-703 or ANSI/NSF Standard 60 criteria shall be picked up and replaced by the Contractor at no expense to the City.
