• Request for Proposal
.1 The intent of this RFP call is to solicit and receive formal offers to perform the following Services:
Annual Inspections, Repairs and Maintenance on the Fire Alarm System within the Edmonton Law Courts Building and Pedway.
The Contract term is from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2027.
SERVICES OF THIS CONTRACT
Services of this Contract includes all tasks specified in the Contract documents including the following:
1. Provide Certified technicians to perform Siemens Fire Alarm Annual Inspection.
2. Provide Certified technicians to perform Notifier Fire Alarm Annual Inspection.
3. Provide Hourly Rate Certified technicians to undertake repairs and maintenance on Notifier, Siemens Pannel and all output and input devices associated with this system.
4. Provide Certified Panel Technician with certification in Zeus D Programming Language.
QUALIFICATIONS OF CONTRACTOR’S PERSONNEL
.1 Contractor’s Personnel must be able to program Siemens Fire Alarm Panel.
.2 Fire Alarm certifications and/or qualifications for Contractor’s Personnel required to be submitted to Province prior to attending to site.
.3 Proof of valid Fire Alarm Technician’s certifications to be produced on request from the Gov’t of Alberta.
.4 Contractor to ensure all sub-contractors utilized, during this contract, meet the certification requirements of the contract. Proof of certifications required to be submitted to Province prior to attending to site.
SAFETY CERTIFICATION & EXTRA TRAINING OF CONTRACTOR’S PERSONNEL
.1 Contractor’s Personnel attending to site are expected to maintain current and valid certifications including but not limited to the following:
• Fall Protection training
• Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) training.
• Confined Space Entry & Monitor, Level 1 with Practical
The intent is to ensure the Contractor’s Personnel are qualified and capable to access confined spaces and in the use of motorized elevated work platform (MEWP’s), whenever required, for the duration of the contract.
SAFETY, HEALTH, AND SECURITY REGULATIONS
This will require the Contractor to obtain a project specific criminal record check, through a Police agency or an agency that is in partnership with Canadian Police Departments and can provide criminal record checks based on direct information from the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), for each worker that will be on site. Criminal record checks from previous projects are not acceptable.
